2. Accessing the website and server log files
When you access this website, our hosting provider’s web server automatically processes data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure operation of the website. The log data is not combined with other data and is deleted once the hosting provider’s retention period has expired.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising services and does not embed content from external providers. Fonts and images are loaded from our own web space; no data is transferred to third parties such as Google when you visit the site.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, by phone or via the enquiry form, we process your details (such as name, company, phone number, email address, message and attached files) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in responding to enquiries.
Our web server sends the details and attachments from the enquiry form to us by email; they are not stored on the web server, and the server discards uploaded files after sending. To protect against misuse, we store a non-reversible hash of your IP address for one hour in order to reject more than five enquiries per hour. For email, we use Microsoft 365 provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required for handling your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply; under commercial and tax law, we retain business letters and quotations for up to six and ten years respectively.
5. Job applications
We process application documents in order to carry out the application process (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR). If no employment relationship results, we delete the documents six months after the end of the process, unless you have consented to longer storage.
6. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to us:
- access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR),
- withdrawal of any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise these rights, simply contact us at kontakt@ekraft.energy; no particular form is required.
7. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
8. Encryption
The website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS).
